So when we were told that Madison Clothing would be exhibiting at this year’s Eurobike, I have to admit I was pretty excited. The range is now full enough to where we all feel comfortable to bring it to such an event and we were certain that it would go down well. I usually enjoy getting away on work trips; Good food and drink all paid for, meeting new people and a lot of good banter to go along with it, plus, I had never been to Germany before so that was a cheeky bonus. So Icebike* was everything that we were hoping for and then some, with a record turn-out of more than 850 dealers attending, it was busier than ever and there was a constant buzz around our stand for the entire three days. With dealers, journos and photographers walking around, this year was particularly important for us, not only did we have a lot of new product to show off to our prospective customers, we were also showcasing a new in-store point of sale system to hopefully gather some interest.  Among the new items on show were our new Sportive jersey; a technical fitting, high wicking polyester road jersey and the new re-vamped summer Lycra range, all boasting improved padding, better quality Lycra and a more anatomical fit than their predecessors. I write this with a sigh of relief and a coffee in hand after returning from a crazy few days at the London Bike Show. All in all I think it’s safe to say it was a success, the stand was busy, the range was very well received and we even sold a few end of line bargains to those in the market for some new kit. The one thing that always surprises me is the huge diversity of cyclists we meet at these shows, from the super-fit elite athlete to the safety conscious commuter and the slightly eccentric veteran, all of whom provided excellent feedback, critique and praise that left us feeling confident that there is something in our range to suit everyone.
